Thursday 16th July saw representatives from 5 choruses in the wider Bristol 
Area gather to sing and celebrate 50 years of female barbershop singing with the Ladies Association of British Barbershop singers.
With a deliciously chocolatey gold birthday cake baked by BF's Lucy Howard,, guests adorned in splashes of gold and a chance to sing the new polecat of Spandau Ballet's hit song by the same name - we all knew it would be a super evening.
Events were kicked off by a welcome from BF's chair person. Fliss Proctor and then performance lead for BF, Debbie Trotman (DT).led the gathered guests through a fun routine featuring moves to represent each chorus! The excited sheep was particularly memorable! 
With songs from each group, polecat singing, a fantastic rendition of Happy Birthday plus drinks, a photo wall and plenty of time to socialise the singers discovered it seemed their very own anthem of 'Happy Together' by the Turtles. With promises to gather at Convention 26 in the Afterglow as well future socials and celebrations (Bristol Fashion are turning 50.in 2027) the night was a roaring success.
